A Sundays@Six Series Reading in The Jewel Box Theater
A 30-something man from Ottawa, Canada, Kevin Blackman, who's a shy Prime number obsessed actuary arrives in NYC.
Kevin has leukemia and has made the choice to learn how to live before he dies. During the course of the play Kevin is taught to discover how to flourish...and choose life... and find love and sex in New York City…with the help of two older women, his neighbors on either side of his apartment in the Ansonia building.
These women hate one another bitterly due to a longtime feud. One is a flamboyant woman, Diana, the other an uptight sex therapist, Frieda Klein. The problem is that Diana was Frieda's husband's mistress for 25 years. But separately Diana and Frieda teach Kevin much about life and love and sex and how not to be a solitary Prime number. In turn, Kevin teaches the two women to let go of the past.
But also, Kevin is mesmerized by a beautiful high class escort, Erica, 25, who's totally got her act together. Erica eventually shows Kevin how to choose life with a New York state-of-mind, an infinite number encompassing attitude and the path to continue with the hope of a survivor.
